Introductory Problem Sets

This is an optional 'static' version of the Introductory Problem Sets.  The problems in this set do not change.  Note that the non-static version displays a wider variety of problem statements, and also uses different numbers in the problems and solutions with every change.  Changes in the non-static version occur every 5 minutes.

You are to know how to solve the problems in the following sets.  For each item, a problem is posed and you are to solve it.  Then look at the solution and explanations to be sure you understand everything you can about that problem.  These problems will appear on your tests, and you will be expected to explain them and relate them to your experiments.
